About the Role:

As an IT Technician, you will be an integral part of our IT support team, providing comprehensive assistance across all aspects of our institution. From being the first point of contact for support requests to offering hands-on help both over the phone and in person, this role offers a unique opportunity to engage with a wide array of technologies and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver first-line support to staff and pupils, addressing hardware and software issues with devices including Microsoft Surface, Apple computers, Chromebooks, and more.
  • Engage in fault diagnosis, offering timely resolutions to technical issues and acting as a pivotal support figure for our community.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the cabled network, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date.
  • Proactively inspect classrooms, initiating repairs and maintenance to uphold our high standards.
  • Support the use of standard software packages, alongside bespoke school platforms.

Technical Requirements:

  • Proven experience in IT Support and Helpdesk roles, with a comprehensive knowledge of IT Support mechanisms.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and familiarity with Windows/Mac desktops, including Windows 10/11.
  • Experience with mobile device support (iOS, Android), basic networking (LAN and Wi-Fi), and Active Directory.
  • Confidence in supporting the use of Office 365, Mac OS, and Windows 10/11 among staff and students.
