GreatFind Recruitment is thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity for a IT Technician to join our distinguished client's central IT Team. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary ranging between £28,000 and £30,000 per annum. The role includes home-based work as well as occasional travel to Trust schools and the London office.

In this role you will be working Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm although it may be required for the post holder to be flexible with the finish time where pre-arranged owing to events, technical support, etc.

Role Overview

The IT Technician will be an integral part of the Trust's central IT team, providing first-rate IT support and customer service to schools and Head Office staff. You will work on network migration projects for academies joining the Trust, the continued expansion of the Trust’s Office 365 platform, and other central systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing 1st and 2nd line IT support for central Trust IT services, which includes diagnosing and resolving IT issues for end users, both remote and onsite.
  • Remote and occasional onsite support for Head Office staff in the London office, including regular IT support for stakeholders at all levels, including the CEO and Executive Team.
  • Contribution to Trust-wide IT projects including infrastructure upgrades, network migration projects for academies joining the Trust, and the continued expansion of the Trust’s Office 365 platform.
  • Effective use of the IT Service Desk to assist end users, manage workload, prioritise tasks, and record activity.
  • Maintenance of IT hardware and software inventories, including deployment and maintenance of PCs, Chromebooks, Apple iPads, Apple Macs, printers, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Administration of user login accounts, distribution and security groups, ensuring that staff and students have access to the data and resources they need.
  • Test and install new software, ensuring licensing compliance.
  • Provide onsite support and assistance for Trust conferences and other important Trust events to ensure technology is set up and working reliably.
  • Undertake any duties, consistent with this position, as directed by the Director of IT, IT Systems Manager, or the Chief Executive.

Requirements

  • At least two years' experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft desktop applications, Server, and OS.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Full UK driving license required.
