An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Support Engineer who is passionate about solving complex problems and enthusiastic about technology. Based in Surrey, with responsibilities including travel to various client sites, this position offers a competitive salary of £30,000, plus business mileage expenses and a comprehensive benefits package. Experience in schools or the education sector is preferred but not necessary.

Role Overview:

You will play a key role in delivering onsite ICT support, ensuring that IT systems in various educational institutions support and enhance the learning environment. As the frontline IT expert for our clients, you will address technical challenges, provide strategic IT advice, and ensure a high level of service and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering end-to-end technical support and resolving IT incidents efficiently.
  • Serving as the primary IT contact for our clients, offering guidance and support.
  • Managing, monitoring, and maintaining IT systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of IT strategies that meet the unique needs of each educational institution.
  • Keeping IT systems secure, up-to-date, and functioning at peak efficiency.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least two years of experience in a technical support role, with a preference for candidates who have worked in a field-based, client-facing capacity.
  • Solid technical skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365 administration, Windows Server administration, network troubleshooting, and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for travel to client sites.
