At GreatFind Recruitment, the festive season has always been about showing our appreciation to clients and placed candidates. This year, we decided to take a different approach, aligning our holiday tradition with a more meaningful cause – supporting digital equality in education.
To help support a cause close to home, we donated our Christmas marketing budget to purchase ten brand new laptops for St Bernadette’s School, in Harrow. This initiative aimed to provide technology to those who need it most, supporting educational growth and digital literacy within a local school.
Headteacher, David O’Farrell, shared his gratitude: “On behalf of all of the children at St Bernadette’s, I would like to thank you for your kind donation of 10 laptops this week. This is a remarkable donation, and it will enable us to fully support our most vulnerable children and those with special education needs, both at school and at home. They will be used to support learning and they should inspire our children to make excellent progress.”
Listening to the Students’ Voices
Curious about how the students felt about this donation, we asked them, “What is something new you hope to learn using the laptops?” Their responses were diverse and inspiring: “Coding”, “Maths”, “Photo Editing”, “Games”, and “Website Design.”
When asked, “Why do you think it’s good to have laptops and technology in schools?” one pupil mentioned, “to learn how to be safe on the internet,” another highlighted, “to help with our maths and science studies,” while another observed, “it makes learning more fun.”

Our Director, Ravi Patel commented “This is just the beginning of our journey to support digital equality. The enthusiasm of the students here at St Bernadette’s have further fuelled our commitment to this cause. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute and excited to see the impact of our efforts.
