Role Overview 

You will work within a team that offers customers efficient and high-standard IT support. This will have you undertaking several different tasks, for example, logging and resolving tickets, keeping customers happy & updated and escalating tickets to the relevant departments. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensuring that all help desk tickets are managed and recorded.
  • Working hand in hand with the senior IT engineers to ensure more complex issues are resolved efficiently.
  • Taking ownership of tickets and following up with customers to ensure that problems are resolved.
  • Ensuring all issues are logged correctly on the support desk ticketing system. 
  • Installing software on existing workstations and across networks.
  • Making changes and fixing problems remotely via client hardware or software.
  • Providing troubleshooting and diagnosis training to other staff members.
  • Provide technical support for Microsoft Windows 2012, 2016, 2019 Win 7, Win 10, Mac OSX networks, Microsoft Office 2016 & 2019, Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace cloud platforms.
  • Building close working relationships with manufacturers to ensure hardware support and replacements run smoothly. 
  • Revisions, editing, and writing of software and hardware training manuals.

Requirements/Experience:

  • Experience working in a similar role. (IT Support)
  • Relevant IT qualification. 
  • Car and full clean UK driving licence required. 
  • Experience working within a school or education environment is highly desirable.
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP, Microsoft O365, Google Workspace and DNS.
  • Expert in software installation.
