Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support via helpdesk, telephone, email, and remote assistance to a large international customer base.
  • Support internal staff with Office 365 and general IT software and hardware issues.
  • Prepare laptops for new starters.
  • Conduct server patching and maintenance.
  • Administer network support for switches and firewall appliances.
  • Carry out remote installations.
  • Occasionally visit UK sites for support.
  • Troubleshoot and replicate customer issues in a virtual test environment.
  • Arrange hardware returns (RMA).
  • Perform internal and external training sessions and demonstrations as required.

Person Specification

  • Excellent communicator with a professional telephone manner.
  • High level of spoken and written English.
  • Previous customer-facing experience is essential.
  • Ability to self-learn, resolve complex issues, and work well under pressure.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • High level of technical experience and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server and Client platforms, Active Directory, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with Office 365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Planner, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with print management software, MFD devices, and card readers is desirable.
  • Networking knowledge, including DNS, VLANs, switches, routers, etc.
  • Experience with Azure and migrating servers from local infrastructure to the cloud is desirable.
  • Exposure to Apple MAC and Linux is a bonus.
