Role Overview

The successful candidate will receive a very competitive salary, along with an opportunity to develop their own skills as part of our client’s Network team.You will manage the Network team and help ensure our client utilises IT in order to promote excellent teaching and learning opportunities.


  • Maintain and review ICT networks and systems to ensure that our client’s needs are met
  • Manage, install, upgrade and replace all hardware and software when needed
  • Provide internal staff with IT support and training
  • Maintain information held on our client’s database
  • Line manage the Network team
  • Manage effective development of our client’s information and communication networks
  • Identify and resolve IT problems
  • Manage the Knowledge Base and Help Desk systems
  • Project manage ICT developments
  • Maintain backups, anti-virus software and assist in establishing contingency plans
  • Manage and maintain our client’s virtualisation system and wireless network
  • Monitor and develop our client’s CCTV system
  • Organise and manage the workloads of the Network team to meet demand
  • Complete appraisals and training for the Network team
  • Review performance of suppliers against contacts
  • Collate relevant information and prepare as reports for your line manager
  • Update and maintain equipment plans

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:

  • Higher education qualifications relevant to ICT
  • GCSE (grade A*–C) or equivalent, in english and maths
  • Previous experience of successfully managing ICT network/s, hardware and software functions
  • Experience of managing change and implementing new systems
  • Management experience
  • Working knowledge of a range of ICT software, hardware and other resources.
  • Good understanding of networks
  • Previous experience of managing a budget
