We are happy to say that we are recruiting for a Network Manager to join a leading IT services provider where you will be school based in the South East London area. A perfect candidate for this position would be someone who has previous experience managing a network in a school, so they know how they work and are familiar with the technologies and have managed a team of IT technicians.
Role Overview
In this position, you will be providing IT support to all students, teachers, school support staff, and your team of IT Technicians and ensuring that all hardware and software on the school's premises are working correctly.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor your team of IT Technicians and ensure that regular performance meetings are held.
- Make suggestions and feedback to senior staff members about how the IT systems can be improved.
- Standardising school setups where possible - Aruba, Password Policies, Veeam, SCCM etc.
- Ensure all documentation is kept up to date at all times.
- Responding to escalated tickets within the SLA.
- Ensuring all tickets and incidents are logged correctly.
- Keeping customers updated on the status of their queries.
- Providing quotes for new equipment/projects.
- Liaising with software providers and 3rd party services.
- Routinely check stock levels.
Requirements/Experience:
- Background of working as a Network Manager within a school and experience in leading a team.
- Excellent knowledge of school hardware and software systems.
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Google for Education solution, iOS device deployment and Virtualisation (Hyper-V) is highly desirable.
