IT Technician

Join an outstanding school as part of their IT team! We are looking for an IT technician to take the next step in their career and support this leading school with its IT Systems. This position is based in the Richmond area, with an attractive salary of up to £28,000!

Role Overview

You will be working directly with the school's IT Manager and will be responsible for ensuring IT Systems across the school are functioning efficiently and the day-to-day running and maintenance of all of the school's IT. 

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining computers, laptops, printers, interactive whiteboards, audio and other ICT hardware to ensure maximum performance, resolving all problems quickly.
• Manage support for all aspects of Google Workspace, including users, groups, and devices. 
• Provide Active Directory support in the Windows Domain environment. This includes Users and computer management.
• Developing and maintaining an effective and efficient Helpdesk system and achieving KPIs in accordance with management's expectations.
• Ensuring periodic reports are generated, and Management is informed about any replacement or upgrade needed to ensure smooth curriculum operation.
• Following the Network Manager's instructions, ensure the IT Service Desk performs a quality support service to all end-users.
• Ensure all schools' systems' physical and operational health, including servers, networking equipment, and cabling.
• Provide technical support during and before events as and when requested. 
• Ensuring that the asset database is kept accurate and up to date. 
• Assist in delivering strategic IT projects by performing assigned tasks as directed by the IT Manager.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience working in a similar IT support role within a school or educational environment. 
• Relevant IT qualification. 
• Strong knowledge and proven track record of using school IT systems. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
