Role Overview

You will be working directly with the school's senior IT Team and will be responsible for ensuring IT Systems across the school are functioning efficiently and the day-to-day running and maintenance of all of the school's IT. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide users with support for Microsoft Active Directory.
• Monitoring the IT service desk to ensure all tickets are logged, recorded, and closed efficiently. 
• Ensure all schools' systems' physical and operational health, including servers, networking equipment, and cabling.
• In charge of regular maintenance programmes, resolving hardware and software failures, and implementing day-to-day "housekeeping" functions such as imaging and laptop returns.
• Following the school's policy for software deployment, ensure all installed software is correctly licensed and installed centrally. 
• Establishing appropriate filtering and monitoring procedures (that do not compromise effective teaching and learning) in the school to meet relevant e-safety requirements.
• Provide technical support during and before events as and when requested. 
• Ensuring that the asset database is kept accurate and up to date. 
• Assisting departments with AV needs, such as projectors and IWBs, touchscreens, visualisers, and other peripherals.
• Assist in delivering strategic IT projects by performing assigned tasks as the senior IT Team directs.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience working in a similar IT Support or service desk role. 
• Previous IT support experience within a school environment is highly desirable but not essential.
• Strong knowledge of M365 and Azure services.
• Relevant IT qualifications. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
