Our client, an ICT services and solutions provider based in East London, is seeking an individual with an excellent customer service ethos and the technical ability to operate in a 1st Line Field Engineer position to join their busy team. Differentiating on customer service is something that our client sees as a key element on their strategy, ensuring that all customers receive first class support from their team.
This role will be providing onsite support on different clients’ sites in Essex and East London and assisting in the resolution or support requests. A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required.

Duties and responsibilities:
Your major duties will be visiting their School sites providing onsite support on their systems. You will also provide support to the helpdesk team, responding clients’ calls and requests and logging the requests to helpdesk and ensure they are in the records and documented. You will also be assisting other departments in the company when required.
Personal Qualifications and experience:
- At least a year experience on 1st line technical support role, ideally in a managed service provider or IT reseller.
- Experience on Microsoft Server, Active Directory, Desktop Operating Systems, Networking, Microsoft Applications and computer hardware and network cabling
- Well-organised, focused and have good attention to details
- Patient, adaptive to change and have a strong sense of work ethics
- Good communication and customer services skills and good telephone manner
DBS clearance will be required. And support is offered from multiple sites therefore a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required.
Candidates have exposure to Microsoft certification will be of particular interest to my client. Personality fit is also important for the role and it’s vital that you are willing to be a team player and assist colleagues where needed; it’s also a great opportunity to learn from others and to progress in your career as a field engineer.
The position comes with an excellent benefits package with a basic salary of up to £21,000 with allowance on expenses for the right candidate. You will be joining a fast-growing organisation who truly support the development of their staff.
