Head of Professional Services

We are exclusively recruiting for a Head of Professional Services for a leading MSP in North London! This is a great opportunity for an experienced Technical Project Manager, Technical Consultant, or Program Manager to lead a friendly Professional Services team. The salary for this role is up to £70,000 with some fantastic benefits!

Role Overview 

This role is a great opportunity for an experienced leader to oversee our team and ensure projects meet high standards, budgets, and timelines. Enhancing service processes, collaborating across departments, and achieving revenue targets are key responsibilities.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead and supervise the Professional Services Team to ensure projects are delivered to exceptional quality standards while adhering to budgets and timelines.
• Serve as a technical point of escalation for team members, providing guidance and support on complex issues.
• Maintain comprehensive oversight of ongoing projects, reporting progress, delays, and profitability to management regularly.
• Conduct thorough requirements analysis, set project milestones, and execute project plans effectively.
• Drive continuous improvement of professional services processes, identifying opportunities for automation and innovative solutions.
• Take ownership of departmental revenue targets, justifying performance to the executive board.
• Collaborate with the Technical Director to establish and manage OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) for the team, guiding Engineers, Consultants, and Project Managers.
• Monitor team performance, offering timely feedback, guidance, and developmental support.
• Lead by example, fostering a motivating environment that encourages optimal team performance and career growth.
• Oversee resource scheduling, including recruitment, and maintain accurate logging of billable time in the ConnectWise system.

Requirements/Experience:

• Solid technical grasp across technologies like cloud computing, security, Microsoft stack, virtualisation, BCDR, and networking.
• Achieved 7-10 years of hands-on experience in technical project management, senior consultation, or program management roles.
• Proven ability in managing technical teams effectively.
• Proficiency in project management principles and associated tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across organisational levels.
