Data Cabling Engineer

GreatFind is looking for a Data Cabling Engineer with direct experience in installing Cat 5, Cat 6, Fibre, terminating and testing to join an IT specialist company within the education sector!  This role is based in the Birmingham area with a salary of up to £35,000. 

Role Overview 

In this role, you will be expected to support customers by visiting schools and assisting with any data-related technical issues, installation and termination. Tools and a company van will be provided! 

Responsibilities: 

• Supporting schools installing data cables.
• Cat6 cables Installation. 
• Conduit/trunking installation. 
• Termination of Cat6 cables. 
• Data cabinet installation.

Requirements/Experience:

• Full UK driving licence (company van provided) 
• Be able to travel to customer sites using the company van provided. (Fuel Card Provided) 
• Expertise in installing cat 5e and cat6 data cables.  
• Excellent communication skills. 
• Able to solve technical problems on the spot. 
• Fibre Installation experience.
• Experience in operating testers.
