Audio Visual Technician

This excellent Audio Visual Technician opportunity has arisen in an independent school in the Surrey area! The role has a salary of up to £27,000 depending on your experience and skillset and an array of additional benefits! This is an urgent role and the school would like the successful candidate to start before the school holidays!

Role Overview

As the school's new Audio Visual Technician, you will be accountable for designing, developing, and maintaining AV systems throughout the premises. This encompasses permanent AV setups in classrooms, meeting rooms, and lecture halls, as well as AV installations for various events.

Responsibilities:

• Resolve day-to-day issues related to audio-visual equipment and software promptly via the IT Service Desk, prioritising tasks accordingly.

• Deliver courteous and efficient AV support services.

• Monitor, maintain, and update permanent AV installations.

• Organise and execute AV support for live events in the School's historic lecture spaces, such as Whole School meetings, assemblies, lectures, and open mornings.

• Organise and execute AV support for hybrid events, including hybrid Teams or Zoom meetings.

• Organise and execute AV support for digital events, including live streaming or recordings.

• Manage and support the School's digital television recording system.

• Implement projects as per departmental agreement.

• Coordinate with third-party service providers, such as film crews and AV support vendors, as required.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience working with IT / AV equipment in a school/education environment.

• Background in assisting school assemblies, online conferences and meetings with school equipment.

• Experience in support and maintenance of Windows 10, and Microsoft 365 Environment.

• Experience working in a ticketed IT service desk environment.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
