We are searching for a skilled Senior IT Support Engineer to join an independent school in South West London. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering the school's IT systems and implementing its IT strategies and visions. The salary for this role is up to £42,000, depending on your experience and skill set.

Role Overview
In your role as the school's new Senior IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing hands-on support for all school users and students with their IT needs and coordinating priorities, escalations, and projects with MSP and other IT vendors.
Responsibilities:
- In charge of the day-to-day operation of the IT system across all sites, including any problems escalated by the help desk.
- Managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure consisting of Windows servers, virtual servers, storage devices, network switches and routers, WiFi network, firewall devices, Active Directory domain and other systems.
- The responsibility of managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure consisting of a mix of Windows/Apple PCs, iPads, Cloud and On-Prem systems and storage devices, Cisco network switches, Wi-Fi Access Points, Desk Phones and CCTV.
- Managing and implementing IT Infrastructure, systems and processes such as provisioning and migrating servers, OS upgrades, and database implementation
- Providing end-user support and training regarding IT software, systems, and processes to users in person and remotely. Ensure our end-users are kept up to date as and when issues arise.
Requirements:
- Experience working in an IT Support role within a school or educational organisation.
- Experience in managing Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft Azure, Active Directory and networking knowledge of switches, routes, Wireless A/P, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN, VPN, SSL & IPSec.
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong experience providing support for End User Devices (Windows laptop/desktop, Apple, Tablets).
- Knowledge of AV devices within schools - Projectors, interactive displays, etc…
- Windows server infrastructure and network services knowledge.
