IT Support Engineer

Our client, a leading Managed Service Provider, is currently recruiting for a skilled professional to join their team as an IT Support Engineer. This role offers a salary of up to £32,000 plus a great benefits package!

Role Overview

In this role, you will have the exciting responsibility of managing the IT needs of multiple schools, ensuring their networks and computer systems operate seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive IT support to a portfolio of six schools within a Trust in Hertfordshire.
• Perform proactive and reactive maintenance tasks on ICT equipment, operating systems, and core applications.
• Collaborate effectively with personnel from different teams within the company.
• Demonstrate problem-solving abilities and effective customer-handling skills.
• Exhibit good planning, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Gain hands-on experience with Windows Desktop and Windows Server OS, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Active Directory, Google Chromebooks, iPad deployment, and more.
• Support the commercial sector clients when not attending allocated schools, working alongside and learning from senior engineers.
• Showcase strong time management skills and punctuality.

Requirements

• Experience working in an IT support role within a school or educational environment. 
• Possess a valid driving license and have access to your own car.
• Previous experience with Windows Server and any of the mentioned technologies is advantageous.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Must undergo an Enhanced DBS and barred list check.
